L C Retired Teachers Association’s Luncheon

The Lake County Retired Teachers Association’s next luncheon will be September 10, 2019, at the Kirtlander Party Center, 9270 Chillicothe Road, (Rt. 306), Kirtland, OH.

Registration is at 11:00 am with lunch served promptly at 11:30 am. The menu is Pork Scaloppini, Fingerling Potatoes, Carrots and Broccoli, Rolls, Butter, Sheet Cake and Beverages. The vegetarian choice is Eggplant Parmesan.

Reservations must be made in advance by sending a check payable to “LCRTA” for $16.00 to Susan McCarter, 9720 Johnnycake Ridge Rd. Concord, OH, 44060 by August 30, 2019.  Indicate your meal choice on the Memo Line of your check.

The program will be “The History of Cleveland Breweries.” Local historian and fourth-generation Clevelander Rebecca McFarland will discuss the history of brewers and breweries including Gehring, Leisy, Standard, Grund and Schlather. Cleveland’s history of breweries stretches back more than a century. The breweries in Cleveland are plentiful and popular. You could even say they’re hopping!

Community participation donations will be collected for Hannah’s Home.  Items such as paper products, Dawn dish washing soap, dishwasher soap, HE laundry detergent, and Swiffer wet & dry pads are greatly appreciated.

All newly retired teachers are encouraged to attend.
