10th Annual Cops Ride

On Sunday June 24, 2017, the “10th Annual Cops Ride” Ceremony will be held at 10:30 AM at the Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial located at the corner of West 3rd and Lakeside, with Monica Robins of WKYC as the Master of Ceremonies. The purpose of the Cops Ride is to honor and remember Ohio’s Fallen Officers.

As in past years the 10:30 AM Ceremony is open to the public and will honor and remember our nations One Hundred and Thirty-Five (135) Fallen Law Enforcement Officers from calendar year 2017, including the following four Fallen Officers from Ohio:

Officer David J Fahey Jr – Cleveland Police Department- EOW January 24, 2017
Chief of Police Steven Eric DiSario- Kirkersville Police Department- EOW May 12, 2017
Officer Marvin Scott Moyer- Lancaster Police Department- EOW May 26, 2017
Officer Justin A Leo- Girard Police Department- EOW October 21, 2017

John “KIKS” Kikol, ride organizer, anticipates that five hundred (500) motorcyclists will attend the 10:30 AM Ceremony and then at 11:00 AM will join in a fully police escorted processional ride honoring the Fallen Officers, which will begin at the Cleveland Police Memorial and travel through Cleveland, Olmsted Township, North Olmsted, Westlake, Rocky River, Bay Village, Avon Lake and concluding at Lake Erie Harley Davidson Dealership in Avon Ohio for food and entertainment.

Tickets are available at Lake Erie Harley Davidson Avon, Rock N Roll City Harley Davidson Cleveland, Western Reserve Harley Davidson Mentor, South East Harley Davidson Bedford Hts, A&S Cycle North Royalton and Stinger Harley Davidson Medina.  Riders and passengers can also register downtown the morning of the June 24th Ceremony and Ride. The cost is $25 per person. Registrations before June 3rd Include a free 2018 COPS RIDE tee shirt.

The net proceeds from the 10th Annual Cops Ride will be split between the Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial Society (www.policememorialsociety.org) and Ohio COPS (www.ohiocops.org).
