WEPLcon is a convention celebrating comics, manga and superheroes!
This special event is open to all ages.
Costumes are encouraged but weapons are prohibited, even as props.
Join us all day for jam packed excitement and fun.
The schedule of events for the day includes:
- Vendors (10am-4pm): Comic Heaven, Comics and Friends and the W-E Library Boosters will be selling a variety of comic books, manga and graphic novels.
- Artists (10am-1:15pm): Robert Walland and Thom Zahler will be doing sketches and selling their work.
- Face Painting (11:00am-1:00pm): RocketDustDesign will be providing FREE superhero face painting.
- Panel Discussions: Japan Travel Experience with Bryn Wolanski from 11:00am-12:00pm, Artist Panel with Robert Walland and Thom Zahler from 1:15pm-2:15pm and a Mobile Games Panel with Caitie Bolton from 2:30pm-3:30pm.
- Cosplay Costume Contest: 12:15pm -1:00pm
- Video Games: Play video games from 10am-4pm
- 3-D Printer demos from 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm
- Green screen photos from 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm
- Raffles: Each attendee receives a raffle ticket for the opportunity to win exciting prizes.
If the parking lot at the library is full, please park across the street at Shoregate Shopping Center or behind the library on E. 307 St.
