FUNDRAISER SEEKS TO RAISE AWARENESS, FUNDS TO BATTLE ALZHEIMER’S
Wickliffe Family’s 4th Pasta Dinner & Raffle Set For May 19 in Mentor
That’s the goal of the 4th Annual Pasta Dinner & Raffle to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s Kirtland Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Organized by Bob Bazzarelli, of Wickliffe, and his sister, Barb Sedlak, and her husband, Dennis, the event, set for May 19, from 2-6 p.m., at Stadium Grill, 8330 Tyler Blvd, Mentor, is expected to raise $7,000 and attract 300 people. Last year the event raised $6,000 and more than 220 people attended, Bazzarelli said.
Tickets are $10 in advance; $12 at the door; kids 14 and under are free. Chinese raffle, 50/50 raffle, cash bar are planned. Adult ticket purchase includes chance in a $100 cash drawing. Purchase tickets online at FightForACauseOhio.EventBrite.com or call 440.290.9390.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s raises awareness and funds to fight to end Alzheimer’s. Proceeds support local programs and services for caregivers and families of affected individuals. Among the free services offered by the Alzheimer’s Association are the 24/7 Helpline 800.272.3900, dementia care coaching, SHARE: Next Steps After Diagnosis, early-stage services, caregiver support groups, social engagement programs, and community and online education programs.
