The Lake County Amateur Radio Association will be participating in the National Radio Field Day event starting Saturday, June 23rd and June 24th at 2:00PM, at the Lake County Historical Society 415 Riverside Dr. Painesville, Ohio.
“This association along with five other Amateur Radio Stations is participating in the American Radio League National Field Day Exercise. The 24 hour emergency simulation tests the ability of amateur radio operators to contact as many other stations as possible in the case of an emergency.
If there’s an interruption of cell phone service or you’re out of range of a cell tower, you have no way to communicate. Ham operators can fill this void in an emergency.
The event is open to the public and visitors.”
